The building and interior
The building includes the arena, barn and main lobby and is fully enclosed with interior and exterior work underway. With lighting installed and power and water turned on, work to complete the building is on time.
The Pointe-aux-Pins site
Pointe-aux-Pins Acres is a 230-acre parcel of land surrounding the Bremner Heritage Site, which is a large area to get ready for opening in fall 2025.
Construction fun facts
- First concrete pour on May 31, 2024 - in arena alone there is 1,079 cubic metres of cement.
- To put that in perspective, a 1,000 sq ft home has about 30 cubic meters of cement for the foundation.
- Roughly 145 cement trucks for a total weight of 5.33M lbs
